BCTRA Receives award from the Canadian Therapeutic Recreation Assoc.

CONGRATS TO BCTRA!

At the 2009 CTRA Conference in Calgary BCTRA was the proud recipient of the Supportive Agency Award from the Canadian Therapeutic Recreation Association (CTRA).

“The Supportive Agency Award is presented to an agency or organization that has demonstrated exceptional support of the therapeutic recreation practitioners employed at their agency, and in doing so, the field itself”

BCTRA was commended for its unique joint agreement with CTRA (signed at the 2008 AGM) that included BCTRA subsidizing all of its members for a one- year free membership with CTRA. This resulted in over 200 NEW memberships in CTRA from British Columbia. It is the first stage in transforming our provincial association into an organization that not only promotes our national association, but also makes an official commitment to them. Way to go BCTRA!
