Lindsay Dean, Dir. of Education & Recruitment

I graduated in 2001 from Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops with a Bachelor’s Degree, majoring in Psychology.  After 3 years working with at-risk youth, my path led me to the “world of leisure”, where I completed my  Diploma in Therapeutic Recreation at Douglas College in 2006.  Currently, I work within the community as a Recreation Therapist at Surrey Mental Health & Addictions. 

I truly value time spent with family and friends and being outdoors.  I am always ready for weekend getaways, camping adventures, travelling to sunny destinations and exploring the local walking trails. My newest interest is to take up the guitar, so if I make it big, you’ll be the first to know.

As a board member, and a relatively new professional to the field, I look forward to sharing ideas, sparking each other’s enthusiasm and taking strides to help further strengthen our association and the field of Therapeutic Recreation.
