  CEUs

The goal of continuing education is to keep members current on therapeutic recreation issues, developments and administrative techniques. Members are required to complete twenty four (24) Continuing Education Units (CEU's) within a two year period beginning October 1st to maintain professional status.

One hour = one CEU for ease of accounting and to make the decision making more objective. If a member completes a four hour course, they will have accumulated 4 CEUS. If a member attends a half hour BCTRA education session they will have 1/2 a unit or .5.

If you are unfamiliar with this information and would like clarification and further explanation please contact BCTRA.

A reference guide for continuing education topics, including job-related responsibilities, skills and knowledge areas is available. To see a sample click below.
